Mission

Providing pianos to financially challenged families and organizations; changing lives through music

Programs

2 programs

Piano donation program: we have sourced, serviced, and delivered over 500 free pianos throughout st. Louis city and county. The pianos are donated from households that have one they are no longer using and are delivered to households and organizations that want one but cannot afford to pay for one. We currently average one piano delivery per week. In addition to the piano itself, recipients also receive at least one free piano tuning from pfp. In 2024, we donated 54 accoustic pianos and 10 digital pianos.

Expenses: $129K

Summer camps: pfp provides free summer camps for youth at a variety of locations throughout the st. Louis area. We operate beginning piano camps, intro to music camps, and our multidisciplinary turn up your talent performance camps, held in partnership with opera theatre of st. Louis. Camps are held in south st. Louis city and in ferguson as well as a growing number of partner locations, including branches of the st. Louis public library. Our camps served 200 students in 2024. They also serve as our chief recruitment tool for our piano schools with many of our camp attendees continuing with lessons in the fall.
