The pittsburgh independent catholic academy foundation was formed to support the mission of south hills catholic academy (shca) which is to assist parents in the christian spiritual, moral and intellectual formation of their children by ensuring the total development of each child - body, mind, and soul. Shca provides children from low income families with affordable, high quality education, which is achieved through tuition assistance to needy students and by funding the general operations and capital requirements of sponsored catholic schools.
