Mission

To make pittsburgh the most dynamic and diverse place by engaging, educating, and mobilizing all young people to create change in our community. We envision a pittsburgh where young people have an active role in advocating and caring for our city, making pittsburgh the first choice for everyone to live, work, and play.

Programs

Events, member services, and civic support - pump's events and member services activities include major annual events such as the 40 under 40 awards, steel city world cup, and kickball for a cause; our hometown hot spots program; pumped to run; our lead the change web-based platform to connect young leaders with opportunities to serve; and information sharing around civic engagement opportunities and community events. These programs honor dozens of local change-makers, connect thousands of individuals to one another, and raise tens of thousands of dollars for local community initiatives.

Expenses: $90K

Pittsburgh sports league - pump's pittsburgh sports league (psl) program is the premier provider of adult recreational sports leagues and activities in the pittsburgh region. Psl was started in the fall of 2000 with a flag football league of 150 people. Now, over 24,000 young adults in pittsburgh play, socialize, and serve their community through the psl each year. Psl leagues and activities include 20 sports across all four seasons, multiple service projects, individual events, tournaments, and corporate sport-based team building events. Psl is pump's largest social community building and social enterprise program.
