WEAVE CARE APP: The Weave App is a free phone app that coordinates care among peers in times of personal hardship. It covers needs ranging from child care, pet care and transportation, to meals, companionship and more. The app also offers education on how to ask for help, effective ways to support & how to navigate various life challenges. Weave Apps mission is to weave a tapestry of support among peers, fostering a culture of mutual aid. A version of the app exists in Australia as Gather My Crew, their sister social enterprise GatherGroup is selling us a white label (unbranded) version of the established technology. Weave Care App worked with Planetwork short term until they received their own 501C3 status. They received support from Ford Family Foundation and Marin Community Foundation.
