Mission
Playing for Others empowers teens to make a significant difference with their lives...for the rest of their lives.
Programs
2 programs
Arts: teens apply their leadership training and personal development in the Art Program. Teens participate in 2 or more "arts-as-service" projects throughout the season, where they are given the opportunity to create original works of art that celebrate others. In addition to exploring the arts, these projects offer teens new ways to expand their comfort zone, increase self-confidence, build relationships and learn about social issues.
Buddy Program: throught the Buddy Program, teens are partnered with children with disabilities for a year-long experience. The full group participates in a monthly "buddy event" where teens explore the arts with their "buddy" who has a disability. Between the full-group events, teens and their "buddy" can participate in additional opportunities and continue to build their friendship.
