The Pocahontas County Family Resource Network is an information, resource and referral agency serving Pocahontas County WV. We work to ensure parents have needed resources to educate, nurture, and protect their children. We advocate for the prevention of child abuse and neglect and promote skill development. We promote the prevention of substance abuse and work for economic development in our communities.

The Pocahontas County Family Support Center (PCFSC)is a program operated by the Pocahontas County Family Resource Network. This program is funded by a multi-year renewable grant from the WVDHHR/BCF. PCFSC is a one-stop shop for information, resource and referral services for Pocahontas County families. This grant provides for the day-to-day operations of the Center. It covers salaries, benefits for two and one half employees. This grant provides a food pantry, baby pantry, clothing pantry, personal care, and specialized services for families.

Partners in Prevention Mini Grant is funded through the WVDHHR/Bureau of Children and Families by the TEAM for WV Children and provides for services to infants and mothers or caregivers. Provides Diaper Pantry and Community Baby Showers. Safe sleep and travel for infants and toddlers.

Special Projects include: Cribs for Kids funded by the Snowshoe Foundation, Diabetes Prevention, Family Safety Net, General Revenue and interest, Grand Families funded by West Virginia University, Harvest House Food Pantry, Weekend Back Packs filled with food for students experiencing food insecurity, Empty Bowls, Project Christmas provides coats, boots, toys, school supplies for TANF recipients, Warming Hands and Hearts provides emergency assistance for primary heat source during winter months and water shut off notice assistance year round funded by United Way of the Greenbrier Valley and local churches.

Community Resource Program provides workforce development training, assessment, and skill development for youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
