Polonia business association - international networking ring that links business individuals throughout the world, serves polonia community and organizes the annual "little poland" festival. Since its humble beginnings just over a decade ago, the little poland festival has grown to become one of the fastest-growing and most popular cultural festivals in all of new england. The annual festival takes place in new britain's little poland neighborhood which to this day is home to one of the largest and most vibrant polish communities in all the us.each year, the festival attracts over 30,000 participants from across all of new england and the east coast who come out to enjoy our exciting entertainment lineup on two stages, traditional folks dancing performances, dozens of restaurants serving delicious polish food, beer gardens, over 100 vendor booths, an antique car show and plenty of attractions for our youngest festival goers.
Polish-american council of greater new britain ("pacgnb") is the program of polish-american foundation that organizes the "dozynki" festival which honors polish harvest traditions and supports local charities. Celebrated on a sunday after the harvest season, dozynki gives thanks for the crops gathered. Central to the festival is the wreath, symbolizing abundance and new life. The celebration includes a catholic mass with a blessing of the wreath and bread, followed by folk dances, live music, and delicious food. Pacgnb also organizes annual gala "noc witojaska" (st john's night), a summer solstice celebration, and fundraiser for "nasz dom" house for disabled children in poland.
