Overall, our lacrosse participation numbers continued to decline as a result of competition from existing and newly formed club lacrosse organizations. The girls' program and the beginning lacrosse programs remained viable, with approximately 200 participants combined. Coaches for SPYA lacrosse teams included volunteer parents as well as individuals with college / pro experience who receive a nominal amount of compensation for their coaching activities. SPYA policy mandates that all coaches pass an annual background check in order to coach.

Under the leadership of Bo Kiel, South Park's softball program grew by approximately 25% during 2024, with approximately 150 combined participants during the Spring and Fall leagues. The softball program fielded teams in the 6U, 8U, 10U and 13U age groups. In addition to the revenues noted above, softball received approximately $9.000 of contributions from companies and individuals to help finance our program. All softball coaches are volunteer parents who receive no compensation for their efforts. SPYA policy mandates that all coaches pass a background check on an annual basis in order to coach.

South Park's other programs are football and field hockey. Total participants within these two sports was approximately 250. Coaches within these programs include parent volunteers as well as individuals with college experience who receive a nominal amount of pay for the coaching activities. Coaches must pass annual background checks in order to be eligible to coach. Some participants receive partial or full financial aid to cover registration fees.
