Mission
The Foundation was formed in 1996 to assist the Port of Grays Harbor in its educational activities. Unfortunately, the economy took a severe downturn, and the Foundation was inactive for several years. The Centennial anniversary of the Port revived interest in the Foundation, and its first major project was a series of murals, showing the history of the Ports first 100 years. These murals are on display at the main offices of the Port in Aberdeen, Washington. Businesses within the area contributed to this project. This project also highlighted how little known the Ports activities were among the general population and became the impetus for reviving the Foundation.
