Psychiatric emergency services (pes) provides crisis intervention to urgent mental health situations through emergency evaluations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The purpose of these services is to obtain patient stability through triage with rapid treatment, intervention, and deescalation followed by connections of patient to the least restrictive care alternative. Under residential treatment (crisis stabilization unit), patients are evaluated by a psychiatrist, nurse and emergency clinician as components of their assessment in emergency evaluations. Patients in need of continued treatment who voluntarily agree to participate are referred for treatment on the csu. Intervention is available to patients 24 hours a day on the csu by a psychiatrist, registered nurse and technicians. Intensive psychiatric care on a shortterm basis is provided to patients during their episode of care on the csu. 12,934 services provided to 1,421 distinct clients.

The agency is the summit and lake county 988 suicide and crisis lifeline provider. Trained response workers provide a safe place to discuss feelings and problems including depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, loneliness, interpersonal problems, and financial issues. All calls placed to 988 are free and confidential. The agency provides this 24/7 service in conjunction with the national 988 suicide and crisis lifeline network. 19,243 call totaling 3,523 hours of lifeline support.

Inpatient provides admissions to private inpatient psychiatric hospitals across ohio due to limited beds available at local hospitals within summit county, funded through the adm board.community behavioral health clinic (ccbhc) designed to ensure access to coordinated comprehensive behavioral health care. Ccbhs's are required to serve anyone who requests care for mental health or substance abuse, regardless of their ability to pay, place of residence, or age.
