Phs music boosters: to arouse and maintain an enthusiastic interest in the various phases of the band and chorus programs at phs. To lend support; moral, logistical and financial, to the band and chorus programs.

The portsmouth gridiron football club is a fundraising arm for our high-school football team. Our purpose is to supplement what is not in the school's budget. We help buy the team the necessary equipment that the school does not cover. We have 80 players this year that we help with curbing costs of away game meals, team dinners, varsity jackets, etc. We update the community via social media about our games, players, standings, and fundraisers. This year we have purchased a new 5-man sled, 1-man sled, jugs machine, new practice pants, and even some pads and helmets.there are 16 members on the board who volunteer approximately 320 hours per year.

The melville parent teach group (mptg) is comprised of parent and teacher volunteers who provide the necessary support, financial or otherwise, for the enrichment of the children's education and to establish the lines of communication between the school's teachers, administrators and parents. The organization serves approximately 300 students and their families. Major fundraising events include the fall festival, fun run, whale of an evening, and a scholastic book fair. Those fundraisers double as community-building events along with others such as our back-to-school beach night, holiday craft night, and a newport polo match. The money raised throughout the year is used for afterschool enrichment opportunities, steam activities, school improvements, classroom supplies, teacher and staff appreciation, field trips, and school-wide end-of-the-year activities, to name a few.during fy24, the mptg had approximately 75 volunteers contribute over 570 hours of time to the school community.

This portsmouth high school athletic boosters is a non-profit organization whose membership is made up of individuals who are interested in supporting portsmouth high school athletes, both boys and girls, and the athletic programs in which they participate. The boosters believe that the sportsmanship, fellowship, leadership, character, and team spirit experienced only in athletic competition is an integral part of a well-rounded and wholesome education. The organization supported approximately 363 student athletes in fy24. The boosters operates concessions during athletic events, sells sporting apparel and conducts fundraisers throughout the school year to raise funds for the athletic teams at phs. 30 volunteers who worked approximately 675 hours.

Portsmouth enrichment: support is provided for students beyond school hours where children have the opportunity to be stimulated through exciting programs such as foreign language classes. The 2023-2024 school year saw 3 classes held for three portsmouth public schools (via zoom), and served approximately 16 students. This was the final year of operations for portsmouth enrichment. Portsmouth enrichment dissolved as of 6/30/24.

The hpta has served over 400 students with in-school enrichments, facility upgrades, learning materials, and outside of school events. We provided teachers and staff with materials to help meet educational standards (i.e. Social/emotional tools, sensory tools, books, etc.). The hpta also promotes school spirit through a variety of events open to all students and their families including: a back-to-school ice cream social, a fun walk, the corn maze, holiday hullabaloo, scholastic book fair, p bruins night, family picnics, and more. We had approximately 20 volunteers who provided over 100 volunteer hours in the 2023-2024 year.

The mission of the kate grana music & arts association ("kgmaa" )was to create a state-of-the-art hub for the music and arts by initially improving and upgrading the portsmouth high school auditorium. Phase one of this task involved renovating and improving the auditorium and was completed in september 2019. A completely updated portsmouth high school auditorium, dedicated to kate grana has been operating successfully since 2019.the kgmaa mission has been accomplished and portsmouth high school has taken responsibility for the care and maintenance of equipment as well as staff supervision of student use. The kgmaa board had minimal activity in 2024 and is now taking all necessary action to dissolve as a non-profit organization by june 30, 2025.

The mission of the portsmouth middle school fine arts boosters, inc. Is to promote, build and maintain an interest in the arts programs at portsmouth middle school.
