Create connections to support local food producers in our community through affordable access to land, water, and infrastructure and business development support.
Programs
2 programs
Conservation agriculture - we support farmers and ranchers in applying farming practices that maximize water efficiency, improve soil health, and provide habitat for pollinators. In 2024, our farmers/ranchers reduced water use to approximately 15 ac feet of water, planted more than 30 acres of cover crops and pollinator strips, established a native seed garden, and grew more than 30,000 lbs of food.
Connecting the community - we hold events that connect farmers, eaters, and people who care about where their food comes from to each other. In 2024, we gave 13 farm tours, supported partner programming for farmer education/mentorship, and brought together more than 100 people at a "meet your farmer" gathering.
