Mission

We build confidence and community through communication skill development. We offer educational content to build literacy and public speaking skills through K-12 youth programs, curriculum and coaching for educators and teams at nonprofits and companies.

Programs

2 programs

High School Programs for Youth: We offer after-school programs and summer camps for high school youth in grades 9-12, who participate in competitive speech and debate teams, storytelling and poetry clubs, career development opportunities, and leadership development programs. They also receive training to learn how to facilitate and coach younger students. Through interactive practice and safe learning environments, youth develop their voices and prepare for public performance opportunities. In 2024, we served roughly 284 participants through weekly workshops year-round.

Expenses: $172K

Adult Workshops, Curriculum, and Coaching: We partner with businesses, nonprofits and school districts to offer customized workshops, curriculum, and coaching to enhance communication in the workplace. Participants work with a coach to build skills around pitches, storytelling, discussion, presentations, and keynotes. Workshops also help participants with speech writing, oral delivery, anxiety-coping, and adapting to their audiences. Our curriculum helps organizations launch and implement programs that support community voice. Our work with school districts helps teachers facilitate student voice and increase engagement and literacy in the classrooms. Overall, our adult work provides tips and techniques that they can immediately apply to their jobs and practice implementing coach feedback. In 2024, we served roughly 300 adult participants in 2024.
