Our mission is to support transformational activities in human services with special emphasis on improving the lives of children and families through a mass collaboration of individuals and organizations using evidence-based assessments as an approach of working together.

Annual users conference for the cans (child and adolescent needs and strengths) assessment tool. One of the primary activities of the foundation is the development and distribution of assessment tools to the human services community. The foundation holds intellectual property rights on a number of widely used assessment approaches including the cans tool. These common assessment strategies are provided to support effective practices in mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice, schools and prisons. The distribution of these approaches and support for the implementation and full use of the various tools are the primary actvity of the foundation.
