HEALTH CARE: Health care is provided at PPMs medical/dental clinic that serves 12 surrounding rural villages. With a full time nurse, the clinic provides over-the-counter medications and vitamins as well as glasses. A gynecological exam table, ultra-sound machine and oxygen tank were added this year. Over 800 patients were seen at the clinic as well as 250 dental patients by visiting dental teams. One team visited a school and treated all the students, teachers and also members of the community. Honduran doctors and dentists volunteer their time and expertise to serve patients through the ministry. Health care/insurance expenses for several families is furnished. Prayers and encourgement are given to all the patients.
EDUCATION: In the rural mountains, local government schools only offer classes through 6th grade. PPM provides an opportunity for students to attain a higher education to junior high and senior high levels by subsidizing teacherssalaries who offer these classes on Saturdays. PPM provided supplies such as white boards and microscopes as well as a facility for the senior high school to meet. There were 61 students enrolled in this years post-elementary schools. School supplies were provided for the elementary students from visiting teams who also presented the gospel through skits and other creative methods. Teams repaired and painted desks, chairs, and windows for various rural schools. One school received a much needed well. PPM continues to sponsor a dental student with tuition and supplies as well as furnish transportation for vocational students.
AGRICULTURE: PPM continues its effort to demonstrate growing techniques for mountainous terrain.
DISCIPLESHIP: Adult students attend Pastor training seminars. 25-30 children attend an inner city community Sunday School supported by PPM. There is a music school to train participants to play guitar and keyboard for future worship leaders for churches.
