2 programs
The pss circle of care caregivers support program provides counseling, case assistance, support groups, respite and other services to family members providing care to a frail, homebound, ill or disabled older adult. Over 3,000 people each year are served.
The pss/wsf grandparent family apartments, the only residence in new york state specifically for grandparents raising grandchildren, is a nationally recognized model. The 50 unit residence serves as the hub for pss kinship care services assisting both grandparents and grandchildren living in the apartment and in the community. An afterschool program and various young adults programs keep the youth focused, academically engaged and successful.
