Mission
PCHS was formed for the purpose of making effective provisions for the development and active promotions of humane understanding; providing financial assistance for spay/neuter procedures; caring for any kind of animal needing help and/or preventing cruelty toward animals; promoting enforcement of laws for the protection of animals by the State of West Virginia, the County of Preston, any municipality and various federal agencies.

Our Trap-Neuter-Release program provided over 140 free or highly subsidized feline spay/neuters for low to moderate income individuals and families in Preston County, WV.
Through our Sick/Injured Policy, we paid for or subsidized emergency care for 45 sick/injured Preston County, WV animals.
As part of our community outreach, we purchase Kind News' subscriptions for interested public and home-school teachers to utilize in their classrooms.
