First Steps offers parents the opportunity for an informational visit to the hospital after the birth of a baby. The visit provides information on post-partum depression, SIDS, shaken baby syndrome as well as information on development, feeding and linkage to resources in the community.

Parents as teachers provide voluntary home visitation program for families with children beginning age 0-3. Visits in the home offer early childhood parent education and support provide parents with activities and support that will enhance parent child bonding, information to child development and referral to community resources. Home visitors provide developmental screens for early detection of delays. Monthly group meetings are offered to provide education and facilitate peer support.
