Department of human services - other - the statewide child abuse prevention grant promotes awareness around child abuse prevention month (april), safe haven baby laws, handle with care, alliance for children's justice and authentic voices. Handle with care enables local law enforcement to notify school districts when they encounter a child at a traumatic scene, so the school staff and mental healthcare providers can utilize trauma-sensitive training.
