Prevention point has nearly twenty-six years' experience in operating a drop-in center that had 178,840 unduplicated clients visits in fy24, providing approximately 23,582 social referrals and operated public restrooms (for hepatitis a prevention) with 16,141 visits. Prevention point has nineteen years' experience in operating an overdose prevention program, distributing 100,640 doses of narcan across philadelphia. Wound care clinics have been in operation for seventeen years, conducting 829 visits in fy24. For the past sixteen years, prevention point has been offering substance abuse treatment with a monthly census of 250 patients. Prevention point's hiv primary care services, which has been operating for four years, averages 60 patients annually.
Housing: prevention point's homeless shelter is a low threshold shelter that admits those who are still actively using substances. Prevention point has ten years' experience operating a low-barrier respite, housing hundreds of individuals over the decade and transitioning 41 individuals to permanent housing in fy24. Prevention point has seven years' experience with an outreach team that conducted 4,290 outreach contacts and 415 placements last year.
