Enriching the lives and communities of the residents through charitable gifts in support of parks and programs in Prince George's County.

Programs

Raised $35,500 for the 2024 Hispanic Festival, helping cover event costs and allowing for greater expansion of event programming. The 2024 Hispanic Festival was a free event that saw over 10,000 attendees.

Received $10,000 from the Sustainable Communities Environmental Stewardship grant program, for the creation and implementation of a regional farmers market pilot program to be held at Walker Mill Regional Park in 2025. The farmers markets will support local agriculture and offer Prince George's County residents an affordable opportunity to purchase nutritional produce.

Received $9,000 from the Prince George's County Council grant program to support Langley Park Community Center's events in 2024-2025. Funds from the grant were used to enhance the 2024 Mis Quince program benefitting local teenagers, the 2024 Hermandad Fiesta offering free toys to local youth, and the free 2025 Langley Park Day Community Event.

Expenses: $147K

Received $5,000 from the Preservation Maryland Heritage Fund grant program in support of the Riversdale House Museum's dairy restoration project. Funds from the grant were used to reinterpret the space to be more inclusive of the lives of enslaved, free Black, and indentured workers that inhabited the grounds.

Received $5,000 from the Truist Foundation grant program in support of a Financial Literacy Workshop Series held by the Tucker Road Community Center in 2025, designed to teach county youth the knowledge and skills required to effectively manage one's economic well-being.

Received $4,000 from the NRPA's Supporting Healthy Aging Through Parks and Recreation grant program, to support the M-NCPPC's Health and Wellness team as they implement the Fit & Strong fitness program for the county's 50+ population. Fit & Strong is an arthritis-appropriate, evidence-based intervention that has been proven to reduce arthritis symptoms, including pain and limitations in function.
