Mission
Organizing resistance to big tech and providing people-controlled technology for social change.
Programs
2 programs
Movement technology programming: in partnership with many other movement hosting providers and in collaboration with the social justice movement, ptp is organizing resistance to big tech through coalition building, providing political education about the relationship between technology and social change, building technology skills within the very communities we serve, and developing and providing people-controlled technologies.
Civicrm development & general programming: ptp participates in the development and improvement of the open source software civicrm upon which the database, powerbase, is built. Through this work, the organization serves all of the community based organizing groups that use powerbase or civicrm by regularly improving the tool, providing timely updates and upgrades, and working with the powerbase and civicrm communities to add new necessary features to the database for the benefit of community based organizing groups across the country. Within the total expenses above are some expenditures that can be allocated across major program areas or more generally relate to the direct mission of the organization.
