Mission
Project Educate, founded in 2018, is a Los Angeles based 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to alleviate various forms of suffering while improving the quality of life for those experiencing homelessness. In addition to providing basic needs and services, we provide and/or facilitate assistance in housing, healthcare, and social and personal development. Our services include FED (Fitness Education Diet) which focuses on promoting health and wellness through quarterly workshops, TAG (Toiletries and Grooming) which distributes hygiene products monthly ensuring dignity and confidence is restored to our unhoused population, and SWAP (Social Wellness Action Plan) which promotes social connections and addresses the issues of isolation within our homeless population by providing them the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun, interactive, and dynamic events.

HOPE (Helping Others Pursue Education) provides services to youth through our Adopt A School initiative. We provide ongoing support to Raymond Avenue Elementary (Title 1 School in LAUSD). We host an annual Back to School event, Youth Health Fair, Holiday Toy Giveaway, Community Clothing Closet, Shoe and Sock Distribution in partnership with Bombas Socks and Shoes That Fit. Each event provides services to 100 families. HOPE also allocates funds to assist homeless youth, living in Skid Row, with school supplies, bus vouchers, and winter clothing.
TAG (Toiletries and Grooming) provides hygiene products monthly to those living in Skid Row, ensuring dignity and confidence is restored to our unhoused population. Approximately 100 kits are delivered on the last Saturday of the month during the Restoraton of Hope service in San Julian Park. Kits are also provided to those living in tent cities, and sleeping on the streets. More than 1,000 kits are provided annually.
