Mission

Working to relieve the suffering in mexico by building homes and supporting an orphanage.

Programs

2 programs

Since inception, project mexico has built over 476 homes for the poor in mexico with the help of nearly 17,692 volunteers from 49 us states, many canadian provinces and 11 foreign countries. Many families endure squalid conditions in dirt-floor shacks pieced together with cardboard, old tarps and wooden pallets. With no protection from the elements, children and elderly often die during cold rainstorms. The lack of security in their flimsy shacks makes them easy victims for thieves. A project mexico home provides a concrete floor, solid walls and roof, a warm interior, and a locking door. This is a quantum leap forward for impoverished mexican families and gives them hope for the future. 27 homes were built and 126,771 volunteer hours were donated during the year ended august 2024.

Expenses: $475K

Project mexico has consistently fed the spiritual needs of the mexican people through prayer and the living the gospel by helping the suffering. By establishing a church off the orphanage grounds, our goal will flourish that much more by jesus having a concrete presence in the tijuana for people to visit and also for the older graduated orphan boys to have a local church to call home. The funds received to purchase land and to build a house of worship will be received by us and then expensed for it's entire purpose, to establish an orthodox presence in tijuana to service the needy. Appropriately, the assets of this community will belong to the local canonical orthodox archdiocese of mexico.
