Programs
1 program
Building elementary teacher readiness and capacity for computational thinking. With this project we are providing teachers in new york city and in various districts in michigan with professional learning and coaching to integrate computational thinking within their everyday curriculum. As part of this project, we are doing new research on how to build up teachers' competencies, comfort and confidence with computational thinking concepts and principles. Numerous assets and tools are being developed from this project that will help us replicate this project in other locations in the future. The new york city project is part of our six year grant funded initiative. In the 2022-23 school year, we served 100 teachers across 7 schools in nyc. In michigan, we supported the work of 20 instructional coaches in 5 school districts in the 22-23 school year. Our research findings are shared via conferences and briefings to support educators nationwide. More information is available at: https://tomorrow.org/programs/computational-thinking.html
