Ppt educates, empowers, and advocates for residents in southwestern pennsylvania on the protection of their environmental, economic, and legal rights.

Legal advocacy: working with legal counsel, ppt advocates for our local communities by participating in gas development hearings and advocating for protective permit conditions and ordinances. We comment on policies enforced by the pa department of environmental protection and scrutinize new proposed sites for hidden environmental and human harms.
Environmental monitoring - protect pt provides environmental monitoring services, scientifically testing air, noise, water and radon. The organization conducts monitoring around known sources of pollution in the community and offer monitoring services to community members concerned about their air, water and noise.
To educate residents and local lawmakers with factual and important information so that they may better protect themselves.
