The object and purpose of the organization is to bring together the property owners of the deep creek lake area to promote, preserve and protect the quality of life, environment, recreational

Sponsorships the organization sponsors various local festivals, non-profit organizations and public service departments by making contributions in support of the recipients efforts. Sponsorships and support included supporting deep creek watershed foundations lake level recharge project, the fireworks display, and southern & northern after prom.
Issue advocacy the organization conducts issue advocacy that do not involve the specific expenditure of funds in support of or in opposition to legislative recommendations that affect the property owners of deep creek lake, including, but not limited to, commenting on dnr regulations and policies, meeting with local elected officals and government bodies, commenting on matters before the planning commission and garrett county commissioners, looking at the impact of state legislation on deep creek lake, and consideration of issues such as water quality, zoning and energy production. In the current year the organization has provided information about a variety of issues including marcellus shale gas and hydrilla control treatment.
0100th anniversary celebration of deep creek lake (dcl) the organization is preparing for the 100th anniversary celebration in 2025. The organization heads a committee of 10 organzations. The digitization of dcl visitor guides back to the 1950s has been completed. Historical documents, images and stories are also being digitized and made available online. Many events are being planned.
