Mission

To develop and support statewide, national and international best practices committees for prosecutors by providing technical assistance, training, materials, expert advice and research; to develop ways to improve the work of prosecutors and law enforcement statewide, nationally and internationally, to initiate and review proposals regarding reform of the criminal justice system, to assess emerging criminal justice topics and to collaborate with local, state, national and international criminal justice partners on these issues; to partner with academics and researchers to develop and study initiatives devoted to improving the criminal justice system, and to study the causes of erroneous convictions; to educate prosecutors and law enforcement, locally, nationally and internationally, on emerging issues and ways to improve the criminal justice system.
