As part of the foundations ongoing initiatives, the protez academy continued its impactful work throughout 2024. Established by a dedicated team of u.s. Professionals and faculty specializing in prosthetics, physical rehabilitation, and surgery, the academy empowers ukrainian medical specialists to learn, connect, and grow alongside their peers in the united states. In 2024, 33 new specialists completed training in the u.s., further expanding the network of experts supporting patients on their journey to recovery. To strengthen this growing community, protez academy hosted a two-day amputee rehab summit in kyiv, gathering more than 450 participants including prosthetists, surgeons, occupational therapists, and caregivers all united by a shared mission: to exchange knowledge, collaborate, and bring hope to those rebuilding their lives. Additionally, the protez foundation organized a veterans appreciation dinner in kyiv, where around 150 veterans attended and felt deeply valued and recognized for their sacrifice.
