Youth engagement and education program - parish proud's youth engagement and education program introduces elementary and middle school students to the core principles of placemaking, community engagement, environmental stewardship, and civic responsibility through classroom presentations and demonstrations. This foundational exposure nurtures awareness and inspires growing involvement in community improvement initiatives. For high school students, these concepts are reinforced through hands-on service-learning projects with the youth ambassador board, which fosters leadership by offering meaningful opportunities to contribute to community placemaking.

Parish proud day is a semiannual event held each april and september, recognized as the largest volunteer-driven placemaking initiative in acadiana. This program unites stakeholders from both the private and public sectors to coordinate and execute volunteer-led community improvement projects focused on enhancing public spaces including parks, recreation centers, gateways, and other communal areas.
