Puentes mission is to empower communities in the Dominican Republic by supporting locally led solutions to health infrastructure and development challenges. Through training data-driven decision-making and collaborative implementation Puente works alongside local leaders to build sustainable community-owned progress.

Mobile Data Collection: Puentes projects are driven by reliable community-based data collection. We develop and maintain mobile technology used by global development practitioners to assess needs and implement targeted solutions in marginalized communities. Organizations working in areas such as medical missions water access literacy nutrition and maternal health rely on Puentes platform to guide effective and intentional change. During the fiscal year over 200 users utilized our technology to collect more than 100,000 data points related to community health and infrastructure.

Community Development Training: Since its inception Puente has trained local leaders in the Dominican Republic to identify and address community needs through sustainable development. Trainings cover topics such as community development water and sanitation hygiene health promotion maternal health and gardening. These sessions are led by Puentes local staff who educate their peers on key skills including data collection project management Excel grant reporting community engagement and stakeholder coordination. Puentes network spans Constanza Cevicos Consuelo Barahona and Tireo where staff oversee all on-ground activities. During the fiscal year they collected more than 5,000 data records and followed up on prior projects and patients to evaluate outcomes. In total over 800 individuals participated in Puentes training programs.
