Push To Walk A New Jerseynon-Profit Corporation

In 2024, grants from corporate and private foundations were received to assist with operational costs and fund specific needs like continuing education , equipment and scholarship funds for clients. Equipment manufacturers provided specific training on certain devices, leading to higher and better use with clients. A client/staff joint event - Race a Thon - was held at Push to Walk in October and allowed clients to participate by walking/pushing for various distances, enabling them to raise funds for their workouts at Push to Walk. About 10 people in total took part in the event. Client scholarships were provided to those clients with financial challenges; the Board Scholarship Committee provided oversight to the application and award process. Push to Walk held an Accessibility Day on October 6, 2024 for clients, caregivers and family members as well as the local community. Various product and service vendors attended, local restaurants donated food and pizza, and a DJ donated his time for music entertainment. Staff set up various games and activities around the property and a Wheelchair Cleaning station was set up with Masters program Occupational Therapy student volunteers from Pace University providing the cleaning services. Product demonstrations from Ekso Bionics and Mobius Mobilitys iBot were featured highlights.
