Agriculture leadership activities the putnam county farm bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attend organizational & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local agricultural, civic, & community organizations. Leaders attend district, state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications, and agricultural activities.

Youth leadership development the putnam county farm bureau supports youth ag agriculture both financially and with volunteer hours. The organization is a primary sponsor of the putnam county 4-h organization where they budget a set amount of money yearly for the 4-h. Putnam county farm bureau also puts on a 2 day farm day in conjunction with tenn tech university where 800-900 elementary school children get to visit agriculture related booths and exhibits and see how livestock is taken care of and where our food and fiber comes from. This is a very informational day for the children. Putnam county uses ffa members and lots of volunteers to put this day on.
