Mission
The Puyallup Valley St. Francis House eases the hardships of low-income households in East Pierce County by providing clothing, food and emergency assistance. To this end, it operates a clothing bank, food pantry, and emergency assistance program.

Emergency Assistance served 130 households with either emergency rental or emergency utility assistance. (76 rental and 54 utility). 145 households were served with transportation assistance (65 bus tickets and 80 gas vouchers).
The Nook Charitable Boutique operated by St. Francis House, designed to sell high-end items received throughout the year. The proceeds from these sales support the various programs of St. Francis House. Initially opened in November 2012, The Nook has been a cornerstone for unique finds and community support. The Nook is located at 1416 East Main Street #B, Puyallup, WA 98372 and is open 10 am to 5pm Wednesday through Saturday. It offers a wide variety of beautiful, one-of-a-kind items at affordable prices, including home decor, jewelry, china, clothing, and vintage items.
The DIRECTIONS Cohort partnership with the Puyallup Food Bank had 6 participant graduates. The program is designed to educate participants on basic life skills (personality assessment, mindsets, boundaries, crucial conversations, financial basics, and interview/resume skills) using a holistic approach. St. Francis House and the Puyallup Food Bank have partnered in this program since 2022.
