City of Austin, TexasTexas Child Care Leadership AcademyThe Texas Child Care Leadership Academy is part of the City of Austins Workforce Development Program. The program targets childcare owners, directors, and emerging leaders living within Travis County and who are engaged in subsidy agreement with their local workforce board- Capital Area Workforce Board. The goal is to equip 60 childcare administrators with knowledge and skills to create supportive work environments and improve staff retention by: 1) improving the leadership and management skills of program owners and directors and, 2) fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement that leads to engaged learning for staff, children, and families. Together4Children uses a hybrid learning model that incorporates live in-person training and live virtual Professional Learning Communities to deliver a comprehensive 10- month (60-hour) training using the evidence-based Taking Charge of Change (TCC)
