Mission
In 2024, raleigh city farm deepened its commitment to regenerative, climate-resilient practices for healthier soil and plants. Despite severe weather, and pest pressure, the farm produced 13,000 pounds of food, donating 6,400 pounds--50% of the total harvest and a 62% increase from 2023--through expanded farmshare partnerships; the remainder was sold at 28 pay-what-you-can farmstands. Nearly 6,000 volunteer hours were logged via 31 private workdays, 38 additional volunteer events, and 2 fundraisers. Education remained key, with 16 farm to camp sessions, 12 private tours, and 11 artist in residence events. The future farms plan & fund was launched and phase one completed with expansion to two adjacent lots, increasing the farm's footprint by 20% and increasing programming and impact.

Pay-what-you-can farmstand: we host a seasonal farm stand where customers have the option of paying the suggested price or paying what they can from april - october at our main site and at the salvation army community center at a portable unit. 90% of our produce yield is made affordable and accessible to the community; this equates to 11,200 meals.
Farm to camp - we partner with the salvation army community center's summer camp program and provide this program to youth ages 5-14 to teach them about the importance of sourcing, preparing and eating healthy food. Chefs prepare food sourced from the farm and campers watch, taste, listen, and bring home recipes and produce for their families. We reach over 60 youth each season with 14 sessions.
