Food and Clothing Distribution Program (in partnership with CityServe) Ratiwennahawi significantly expanded its humanitarian support to Indigenous communities across North America through its food and clothing distribution initiatives. In partnership with CityServe, the charitable distribution arm associated with Amazon, the organization delivered hundreds of thousands of dollars (fair market value) in essential goods to at-risk youth, elders, and families in remote and underserved communities. The program provided household necessities, clothing, tools, and other critical resources, improving quality of life and alleviating hardship for beneficiaries in both the United States and Canada. By coordinating logistics, transportation, and community-level outreach, Ratiwennahawi strengthened its ability to meet urgent needs and demonstrated strong operational alignment with government agencies and local community leadership.
Lacrosse Leadership Initiative: Ratiwennahawi advanced its culturally significant Lacrosse Leadership program, which utilizes the sacred Indigenous game of lacrosse to educate youth and adults about its origins, spiritual meaning, and role in developing leadership among young men. The organization expanded its partnerships with USA Lacrosse and Lacrosse Canada to deliver programming that emphasizes character development, teamwork, discipline, and cultural pride. Through clinics, workshops, and community presentations, Ratiwennahawi engaged youth from multiple Indigenous nations as well as non-Native students, contributing to greater national understanding of lacrosse as a traditional Haudenosaunee game and strengthening cultural bridges across North America. This initiative continues to position the organization as a respected cultural educator working collaboratively with sports bodies, schools, and governmental partners.
