Mission
To collect, preserve, study and exhibit to the public those objects that will serve to illustrate the part lansing played in the development of transportation, with special emphasis on the automobile and its effect on the community and its people.

Exhibit and collections: development, presentation, and management of exhibits of the museum's collection for public interest and education. In 2024, the museum developed a new curved dash oldsmobile exhibit, continued work on the preservation of artifacts and vehicles, expanded its collection with the addition of a 1947 reo truck, and started to use a public-facing program to catalog its archival holdings.
