A non-profit community art studio located in the REO Town District of Lansing Michigan, offering out-of-school visual art education for youth of all ages (2-18), and adults from the Greater Lansing Area, taught by local artists and art educators.

Programs

5 programs

Summer Camps: REACH offers seven weeks of summer camps from June through August for youth ages 6-15. Camps run Monday through Friday, with both morning and afternoon sessions available. Programs are taught by local artists and arts educators covering a range of artistic media. Regular sessions are offered for a fee, with full and partial scholarships available. REACH also offers an additional two weeks of free afternoon camp for youth ages 4-17 who reside within the Lansing School District.

Art Truck: The REACH Art Truck delivers off-site arts programming throughout the year. REACH partners with community organizations to provide art activities during their summer camps and out-of-school programs. Each summer, the Art Truck offers approximately 60 hours of free arts programming, in addition to regular contracted programs with partner organizations. The Art Truck also appears at local festivals and community events, offering free art activities.

Partnership with Lansing School District: REACH partners with the Lansing School District to provide arts-based after-school programming and host after-school arts clubs for elementary, middle, and high school students.

Creative Connections: Each week during REACHs four 8-week terms, we host Walk in Wednesday-a free, multigenerational drop-in program. Activities are accessible to all ages and abilities and include basic art instruction and a take-and-make art project. REACH also hosts open houses throughout the year, offering free creative experiences for the community.

Exhibition space: REACH maintains a gallery space that showcases student artwork and hosts regular exhibitions featuring local artists. Most exhibitions include an artist talk or an opening reception that is free and open to the public.
