Mission

To provide a range of literacy services and trainings that enable children, adult and families the opportunity to achieve success.

Programs

2 programs

Creating young readers program: this line of service affords volunteers the opportunity to work with children ages 3-8 (preschool through 2nd grade) who are at risk of falling behind in emergent literacy skills. Reader friends meet one-to-one with a child on reading, alphabet recognition and other skills all while sharing their love of reading.

Expenses: $98K

Claire's day: this line of service is dedicated to inspiring children and families to be lifelong readers. We do this to honor claire lynsey rubini, who passed away from a heart condition in 2000 when she was just ten years old. Celebrating life, authors, illustrators and reading excellence, claire's day annually serves more than 20,000 children and their families.
