Programs

Healthy futures programs - focus on strengthening communities and improving future outcomes. Whether focused on supporting efforts to address substance use disorders, housing insecurity, refugee resettlement, public health or keeping multi-lingual students engaged and on-track to graduate, americorps members serving with healthy futures programs make an incredible impact. During the 2023-24 program year, offerings included recovery corps, heading home corps, resettlement corps, and public health corps. Together, members supported 6,492 individuals and provided critical capacity building services for 178 organizations located in minnesota, illinois, and virginia.

Environmental programs - climate impact corps helps communities anticipate, prepare for, and respond to climate-related issues in minnesota. During the 2023-24 program year, 93 members served at 55 partner sites. As part of climate impact corps, members engaged in site-driven projects to boost organizational capacity to preserve and increase tree canopy in state priority areas, reduce energy burden in communities with historical gaps in service, plan and implement community-engaged sustainability projects, and increase community environmental action. In total members: managed 132,831 trees, completed 127 home energy audits, provided individualized environmental education to 2,460 people, and mobilized 2,025 volunteers.

Reading & math, inc. Provides technical assistance for the delivery of reading corps, math corps and early learning corps to national replication partners, ensuring the proven model is implemented consistently and with fidelity across the country to achieve high impact results.
