Reading Symphony Orchestra Assn

Orchestra education:orchestra education extends to school-day concerts for thousands of local students. We conducted an education program with the wilson school district & reading school district for third & fourth grade students. There were 3 performances for approximately 1000 students each.see continuation on schedule o.the association's numerous educational and outreach programs continue to benefit the community. Among others, the reading symphony youth orchestra and junior strings program gives more than 200 talented area music students the opportunity to perform advanced orchestral repertoire with like-minded peers under the guidance of skilled artistic staff; the orchestra zone program provides free private instrumental music lessons to underserved students in the reading school district; advanced music students from high schools throughout berks county are given the opportunity to perform in pre-concert lobby performances prior to reading symphony orchestra concerts; and the masterclass series allows community members to learn from visiting soloists.
