Programs

Farm-to-business: reap has partnered with community action coalition, pasture and plenty, and fairshare csa coalition to form the foodshed partnership to open a food hub in the madison area. We completed our lfpp grant to build a wholesale marketplace and are now working to onboard farmers and buyers to the website. We also formed a partnership with fairshare and wello to start several farm to institution conferences in wisconsin over the next several years.farm fresh atlas: 2024 marked the first year of the farm fresh atlas of wisconsin as we consolidated the publication into 1 statewide publication rather than having multiple regional publications run by several organizations. We hired two new local food coordinators to help build relationships and support for the atlas in different regions of the state. In 2024 we printed 50,000 copies and each library in wi received 5 copies of the atlas.
Community partnerships: reap continues to work with roots4change on our farms to families program and are looking to expand the program. We launched our food truck into the community and formed new partnerships with organizations such as olbrich botanical gardens and american players theater and taliesin by bringing the truck to their festivals. We continue to work on creating a food plan for dane county and planned community engagement sessions to happen in 2025.
Reap provides education and outreach to increase awareness of the importance of sustainable farming and the value of a strong local food system in our region. We provide ways for members to be involved in advocacy and organization around issues related to food access and sustainable farming.
