Energy Programs: The Corporation partners with a number of other local organizations to decrease energy and water consumption for our low-income neighbors who are most adversely affected by utility costs. This program operates under the name Community Weatherization Coalition (CWC), and was founded in 2008 by bringing together partners from across the community to empower local residents to take control of their energy and water consumption through behavioral changes, and simple low-cost energy retrofits. This program trains dozens of volunteers per year to spend hours in the homes of their neighbors making retrofits and coaching neighbors on how they can reduce energy and water consumption, and thereby save money. In 2024, CWC trained 57 volunteers to provide energy tune-up services that served a total of 221 local households.
