During august - december 2024, our office submitted 144 applications and served 80 families seeking assistance.

Expenses: $28K

Student backpack program - in the past year, we distributed 14,127 weekend bags filled with nutritious, easy-to-prepare food to 350 unique elementary, middle, and high school students at risk of hunger in cobb and clayton counties. These backpacks provide weekend meals to ensure students return to school ready to learn. Feedback from partner schools indicates an improvement in student focus, attendance, and well-being. Community engagement and education - we facilitated several workshops and events, including our poverty simulation experience, engaging over 400 participants from business and faith-based organizations. These programs educate the community about hunger and food insecurity, inspiring actionable change through advocacy and service. Outcomes and impact - in total, reflections of trinity served 95,349 individuals in the past fiscal year through our food distribution and benefits office outreach programs, representing a 12% increase from the previous year. By leveraging social enterprise, community and business support, volunteer engagement, and innovative fundraising efforts, we are effectively addressing hunger and poverty in our region.
