Rehoboth Land Trust

With 632 acres under rehoboth land trust ownership, plus 143 acres held in conservation restrictions, our 42 stewardship volunteers, plus members of our board of directors, are busy year-round monitoring and maintaining these lands. Three of our public properties currently have hiking trails, with plans for expansion and new trails across several parcels. Other properties will remain in their natural state to preserve wildlife habitat. Rehoboths wetlands, swamps, waterways, and forests, including land owned by the rehoboth land trust, are home to endangered species and species of special concern. Unfortunately, constant and rapid development in and near these areas further threaten our already vulnerable populations. As a member of both the land trust alliance and the massachusetts land trust coalition, our board of directors has access to a host of high-quality education and training opportunities. These sessions keep us up to date on the current science and strategies to take better care of the land we protect, ensuring that it is healthy and strong for generations.
