Mission
Promote bicycling as an everyday lifestyle choice in the truckee meadows through bicycle maintenance, education, and promotion of bicycling events.

Operated the major taylor ride club which is an after-school bicycle riding club. 105 under-served and disadvantaged teens in the reno-sparks area were taught about physical fitness, nutrition, bike maintenance, setting and meeting goals, and bike safety through classes held at the reno bike project and group rides led by experienced volunteer cyclists. 96 participants of the 105 completed the program
Operated the future cycle program to teach at-risk young adults (16-24 years old) a wide variety of job skills. In addition to bicycle repair and maintenace, participants learned customer service and sales skills, communication and job interview skills, and upon completion of the initial training, they finished the 15 week program with an externship with a partnering bicycle shop in the reno area. During 2019, there were a total of 4 participants, and 1 participant graduated the program.
