Serves as a steward of charitable efforts for the missions of the rotary club of reno.

Community service: grant to washoe county school district children in transition program - to aid with emergency housing assistance and supplies for families with homeless children (estimate 20 families); purchase supplies for the riverwalk garden (misc. Tools and plants)vocational service: grant to truckee meadows community college for scholarships (approximately 10) and laundering uniforms for the automotive program.
Youth services projects include: sending 9 students to the rotary youth leadership program (200+/- students attend annually); sending 10 students to the rotary youth eighth grade leadership program (200+/- students attend annually); sponsored both an inbound and an outbound student for the rotary youth exchange program; participated with four other rotary clubs in providing a scholarship program and awarding $65,000 in scholarships to approximately 40 students; approximately a dozen students participated in the club's music and speech contests, with the winners going on to compete at the area contest; our literacy project provided an author's presentation and books to several thousand students at nine elementary schools.
