The Organization serves the truly needy men and women who have no place to turn for food, shelter, clothing and recovery and mental health services. It provides a safe, clean and warm refuge as well as paths to recovery and rehabilitation for the homeless, the hungry, the transient and the addicted.

Programs

2 programs

Emergency services licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, the Organization's emergency shelter serves adult single males and females. Related services include a day center, food pantry, medical respite center, free clothing to homeless clients, and case management and support services. This program also operates a mobile unit providing food, supplies and support services to homeless individuals outside the shelter.

Expenses: $3.7M

Permanent housing the Organization operates three specialty low-income supportive housing units: Brimmer House (12 Carroll Street), a free standing 5-unit house; Perry Street, a 15 housing-unit building; Clinton Avenue, with 5 units for women. It also operates four low-income Community Sober Living Residences, which include supportive services designed to assist individuals in maintaining housing and developing their quality of life: 104 S. Walter Street (4 units); 406 Rutherford Ave. (4 units); 38 Carroll Street (4 units) and 22 Boudinot Street (2 units). The program includes supportive services designed to assist individuals in maintaining housing and developing their quality of life.
