Mission
The reserve connection (trc) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that works to foster an appreciation of the unique qualities of the protected habitat through targeted activities and programs. Trc expects to accomplish this specific purpose through alliances, sponsorships, and organized activities and programs that either promote, support and/or enhance: appreciation for the environmental significance of the protected habitat, community understanding of the history of the protected habitat, environmental activities and programs including volunteerism, education of future generations about the importance of stewardship of the land.

School program: the purpose of the school program is to offer opportunities for hands-on environmental learning through onsite field trips and offsite school assemblies. Each kindergarten through 5th grade program is keyed to a specific set of california science standards.
Public program: the purpose of the public program is to educate the general public about the ecology and history of the reserve through onsite and offsite programs and lectures and at community outreach events.
Volunteer program: the purpose of the volunteer program is to recruit and train volunteers to assist in the school and public programs, conduct community outreach and support land steward activities.reserve connection program: the purpose of the reserve connection program is to provide educational and recreational activities to rancho mission viejo residents through a variety of programs including interpretive hikes or walks, knee-high naturalist events, and ramble the reserve open-access events.
